River Flowing
There is a river that flows
Flowing for many years
Flowing through the land
Back behind the house
And through the woods
Is where this river flows
Many times
I could be found
Down at the river
Morning or night
No matter the time
Or the weather outside
For when I was there
On the bank
I traveled through time
Not of the world
Or of man
But of the river
The river flowing
Throughout time
A river of dreams
Through the seasons
The cold of winter
And the heat of the summer
To the time
Of land and animals
No man around
A time of peace
And tranquillity
Harmony with all
Nature co-exists
With all around
Dependent on each other
When I experience this
My travel begins
I see a dream
Of total peace and tranquillity
Of a time of life
The river in harmony
Life so rewarding
Peaceful at heart
So perfect
I find myself
Lost in thought
Entranced by my thoughts
To be one with the river
Flowing so graceful
So relaxing
Even purifying
My mind refreshed
Nothing is compared
To the power it contains
To the thoughts it portrays
I await my journey
Through mind and soul
At the river
As it flows.
