Nature 14

Gray Clouds

Upon the sky
I gaze upon
Under the tree

Birds I hear
Fly near by
Sing to me

As clouds drift by
Endlessly

The clouds with color changing
Overtaking the others
Turning Gray
And too dark for me

In the distance lighting strikes
But no response

The sky once so blue
Now so black

Thunder crashes
For this storm
Will overtake me

Still I gaze upon the clouds
Once so peaceful,
Innocence in the sky

Now full of sound and fury
As rain pours down

The wind I feel
Whipping around
The storm raging wild
Encompassing the sky

Subjecting the land
To its fury
Wind, Rain
Thunder and Lighting
All around

In the distance
A small, growing
Ray of light

Breaking through
The black mass of the sky

The storm
Now passing soon to be by

As light reclaims
What it had
Only a while ago
There goes by
The last of the gray clouds.
