Daze 23
Crowding Death
Death
Has crowded
My mind
I face
The knowledge
Of the arrival
Of death soon
Death
Has taken form
A slow killer
Patiently waiting
The strikes
Are mighty
But slow
Death
Devouring hopelessly
A useless fight
Why so young
Family-all loving
Losing a member
Why must it be
Soon
Alone
In this world
Not whole
What is
To be said
Other than
Nothing at all
What feelings inside
To ponder
Knowing Death
And his effects
The helplessness
Of doing nothing
You can not stop it
Coursing through you
A man
Flesh and blood
Well before his time
Soon to be no more
What little
Time on this Earth
We have
Ever shortened
What thoughts
Must run
Through that mind
What pain
To know one’s death
And do nothing
But watch
Not seeing
The lives
Of loved ones
Continuing-without you
Oh God
How could this happen
Not Yet.
