The Lecture
The Man speaks again and again
Words that seem useless to say
Weary from the past and heat
I want to be free and far away
His arms are waving again and again
Yet the words still don't talk
Maybe its the detachment from life
That was mentioned, I think
His hair, his clothes, his age say something
But the question is do I care
I look around so few seem to care
To be free only a little time to bear
News topics and cultures and many stories
Wandering around to the ethics we wear
Maybe morality and values for choosing
Is what is going on and then what are we losing
A question is raised, I said some care
He said he succeeded, an idea portrayed
I laugh and think about the effort
None was given and nothing received
Is this like a forest without trees
Am I lost in what I see or detached
From the life I am supposed to lead
I care not for the words or for the ethics' creeds.
