Strong Friendship
How can this work
If we're not here
Our minds may touch
Our thoughts may cross
But distance divides
What we have here
Now only time will tell
If it was strong enough
A voice on a wire
On some on the nights
Or words on paper
Through the air
How do you tell one's mind
Now your no longer here
Without a depression
Of what was lost
With only hope to regain
Then only on a few days
What do memories serve
Other stabs in the heart
I know that it's life
But why does it hurt so much
Will it ever be the same
Or only failed attempts in history
I don't want to lose
It all completely
But sometimes I feel alone
And completely lost
I try to find my place
And remember you in my heart
But sometimes I don't want
What's offered to me
It's hard to forget when
You can't talk for free
I just want it back
The way it used to be
But I know that
It's not going to be
So I guess well trust ourselves
And what out friendship could be
To never forget the other
Over the miles and time
And rely on the exchange
Of voices over wire
And notes through the air
For this friend
I don't want to lose
And in the end
It will all work out
For my friend and I
Our friendship is strong.
