Peacefully Paradox
Peace to some
Is a bloody yell
For help
Where the people are not heard
“Let war end finally
”
Screams misinterpreted
Answered by troops
And blood shed
Promises of safety
When does it all end
The diplomat's turn
A wordy nothing is made
Is peace really meant to last
Is it not just a break time
To rest, to prepare
Is it supposed to be a joke
The treaties signed
Hands shook
Is it supposed to comfort
The weary minds of those
Who have lost it all
A country torn by war
The government that's on paper
Is not the one who has power
Does peace really last
In a world ridden with violence
For all to see.
